Empowerment is as much about the vision, and the faith that that it is worth doing as about the actual ability. In fact, without faith and vision, ability remains under lock and key. To empower is first and last to inspire. Only in the middle is facilitation and even there the inspiration must flow. What inspires soul; perhaps music and comradery, perhaps the one next door with hope and vision, or the one near to our focal point with success?
Agroecology is said to be as much a social as a hard science. It is as much about relationships as about methods and activities. All things considered, it is the humanities that will achieve the evolution of society beyond the extractive, destructive, and competitive.
